To the Members of Cannon Memorial Lodge:

I hope that each of you had a Merry Christmas and look forward to a wonderful new year. I plan to make this a successful year in our lodge with the assistance of my brothers. We will continue with our Masonic Education. I intend to offer these on a regular basis. We are also going to have more practice on our degree work. We need to stay strong in our proficiency. Tuesday's are our day to have the lodge and we will have our practices either after short meetings or on our non-meeting Tuesdays. We also plan on traveling to other lodges in our state and other states to observe their work. I will announce these as they are planned.

I will be personally mailing out birthday cards to all our members. If a member comes to the first meeting immediately following his birthday, his meal is free! This is a simple effort to encourage meeting attendance.

I look forward to a good year for our lodge. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments.

Yours in Masonry,

George Maxwell, Master

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for ever more. PSALM 133

"Thus he showed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumb-line, with a plumb-line in his hand.  And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou?  And I said, a plumb-line.  Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumb-line in the midst of my people Israel:  I will not again pass by them any more."  Amos vii. 7,8
